Advances in systems to detect cancer

According to an article by EurekAlert, a team of scientists from the University of Bristol is developing a new test capable of detecting breast cancer in its early stages. In Europe, breast cancer is the leading cause of death among women who are between 35 and 55 years.

The test uses an innovative system of radiation which lets you have on a regular basis without the possibility of suffering the harmful effects caused by over-exposure to radiation, a problem that it produced the current mammograms using X-ray

In addition, the new technology used by researchers from Bristol is capable of creating images through the dense tissue of the breast cancer and thus is more effective than mammography done with X-ray

According to the article, besides being a more reliable test for women with less than 50 years, is also more comfortable, because we must not compress the breasts between two plates.
